Located in Miami’s vibrant Wynwood Arts District, Amara Wynwood is a design-forward, mid-rise multifamily development by Fifield Companies, built in collaboration with KAST Construction. The 532-unit property blends modern industrial architecture with creative amenities and expansive glazing—demanding a window treatment solution that delivered both performance and design continuity.
ShadeMonster was selected to provide and install custom solar and blackout shades across the entire project, ensuring comfort, light control, and a clean, consistent aesthetic throughout.

Each unit received custom-measured shades to ensure precise fit and visual alignment, while offering the performance benefits required by the development team.
Challenges We Overcame
Last-Minute Fabric Revisions
Late in the design phase, the ownership group opted for a new fabric selection that required matching the blackout and solar shades in appearance and texture. Thanks to our in-house production and direct distributor relationships, we sourced the revised materials quickly and manufactured all shades with perfectly coordinated finishes—without compromising the delivery timeline.
Late-Stage Site Changes (TCO Phase)
Just before final installation, additional sprinkler lines were added to the balconies, which conflicted with the existing shade design. Working alongside the designers and KAST Construction, ShadeMonster adapted the mounting and install plan in real time, ensuring the sprinkler systems remained unobstructed—with no added costs or delays.
